Young Laying Hens - 2025
These young laying hens, just starting to produce, come from chicks we hatched here on our farm earlier this year, 2025. These gals are only available for Local Pickup in Orofino, Idaho.

Many local chicken friends have expressed interest in hens at point of lay. We hear you! We are egg-cited to offer these productive gals from our heritage breeds and unique egg color lines! Take a look at the pictures in this listing. These are the very eggs these young gals have started laying! Raised with care on our small family farm, these hens promise a delightful addition to any backyard coop.... and egg basket!
We're not able to photograph and post each new layer, although I would love to be able to!
I am happy to offer descriptions for those breeds with feather variations. If you have a specific bird in mind, please let us know in the notes section at checkout, or let us choose the perfect addition for you!

5+Month Old Pullets that have just started laying-hatched in 2025.
For a happy flock dynamic, we suggest that you bring home at least two layers of the same age, as it is easier for them to integrate into your flock with a friend by their side. :)

🥚Although each breed is thoughtfully separated, we can’t pinpoint which little lady is responsible for each specific egg. Please keep this in mind when making special requests based on egg color. :)
