Local Pickup Only: Over-hatch Chicks
These chicks are leftover from our June 17th hatch, and are only available for Local Pickup in Orofino, Idaho.
Although I planned on reserving all of our over-hatch chicks from this hatch for Started Pullets...our June hatch exceeded all expectations, and we have some irresistibly cute chicks available for local pickup! I will have these little ones available until Friday this week. I will raise up any that aren't spoken for with the other little ones to share Started Pullets with you all later this summer/fall. :)
To make sure we have just the right number of chicks for your pre-orders, I always add a few extra eggs to each hatch. This often means we have some extra chicks once their hatch mates have found new homes. We’re excited to offer these charming over-hatch chicks to our local pickup chicken friends!

Fun Fact About Straight-Run Chicks
Did you know that, unlike mammals, the hen determines the sex of their offspring in chickens? Hens are the ones with the two different chromosomes! As neat as that little fact is, please be aware that we have no way of guaranteeing the sex of your straight run chicks. Cluck & Quack Farm will not replace or offer compensation for straight run breeds that grow up to be male. If you would like to get hens only, we suggest you purchase our breeds that guarantee female chicks.
