Barnyard Mix Chicks
🐣We have sold out of pre-order chicks for the 2025 season, Thank You! If you are interested in getting chicks next year, please add your email to the box "Email Me When Available" to get an email the moment we open up pre-orders for them again in the 2026 hatching season. 🐣
Chicken math is real, friends, and we enjoy having even just a few of many breeds, not just the ones we raise here on our farm! Plus, as we are continually enhancing our breeds, the layers who didn't quite meet our standards in terms of feather patterns or egg color are now part of our diverse egg layer flock that provides eating eggs for our many customers locally. Our roosters that cover these gals change over the season and could be any of any breed. These adorable little chicks have a wide variety of parentage, and that makes for a fun variety of feather patterns. With a chance to have great egg color lines, these chicks are perfect for anyone looking to add some diversity to their flock. Each chick is a delightful surprise, with the potential to lay eggs in a range of beautiful shades.
About
Our Barnyard Rainbow Mix chickens will grow out in variety of colors, sizes and have different features.
Generally do well in a free range setting.
Fun fact about Straight Run chicks:
Did you know that, unlike mammals, the hen determines the sex of their offspring in chickens? Hens are the ones with the two different chromosomes! As neat as that little fact is, please be aware that we have no way of guaranteeing the sex of your straight run chicks. Cluck & Quack Farm will not replace or offer compensation for straight run breeds that grow up to be male. If you would like to get hens only, we suggest you purchase our breeds that guarantee female chicks.
