Sissy's Silkies

Sissy's Silkies are raised with love and care by our daughter, her very own flock since she was a little gal. Her small flock consists of black and blue Silkie hens, and a black Silkie roo. As with all Silkies, they have 5 toes on each foot, feathered legs, blue/black skin, a dark walnut comb, a fluffy crest, muff, beard, and silkie feathers. That description does not sound cute, but they are! They are adorable, SO FLUFFY, and quirky! They truly are gentle little birds. While these littles are, in our opinion, the sweetest little pets ever, we have not added to their genetics. This will be the case as long as her beloved little rooster, Clip, is still ruling the roost in our small Silkie flock.
We usually let the Silkie girls hatch out at least one clutch each year. When they aren't broody, which is often, they lay around 3+ small light tan eggs every week. When the mama hens aren't broody, we can share hatching eggs or hatch chicks. She has a small flock, so these little ones will only be available now-and-then. Since these are our only bantam flock, their chicks will only be available for local pickup.
Sissy's Silkies have been wonderful pets! With their distinct fluffy feathers and gentle temperament, these quirky little birds are a delightful addition to our farm.
